According to BuzzFeed, “A hipster is just a Brooklynite who wishes they were from Minnesota because it’s ‘more real.’” For ye frustrated ones, there is a long list of outfitters in Minnesota to add some realness, and an even longer list of why Minnesota is totally awesome. The area between Minneapolis’ North Loop and the Mississippi River is full of factories converted into desirable brick condominiums with refined eateries and barrooms, and modish design shops on the street level. Among these include the exceptional menswear store for the urban outdoorsman: Askov Finlayson. Lined with tweed blazers, cabin-building books, thick canvas satchels and Swedish Dream soap, it’s the perfect shop for the Minneapolis man.

I’m still kicking myself for not getting this fabulous lobster poster for Poliça—a favorite band and Minn. natives.

The owners behind Askov Finlayson have created a one-stop destination to entertain you into the evening. Sip coffee at TBF Café. Then move on for a drink at Marvel Bar and dinner at The Bachelor Farmer.
